In this video, I’ll be unboxing and walking through Marco Benedetti’s new facsimile edition of the Tarot Anonyme de Paris, created in the original format and with minimal restoration. Unlike many modern reproductions and restorations, Marco’s approach aims to preserve the character, age and individuality of this remarkable historical deck.
I’ll also be comparing it with another version in my collection, giving us the opportunity to explore two very different approaches to preserving and presenting tarot history: restoration versus facsimile.
