Mark Tremonti riffs are so fun to play. He and Myles Kennedy are really excellent song writers - melody and hooks so memorable and soaring.
Mark does love his 6/8 patterns on guitar and they do make for interesting rhythm ideas.
Another weird tuning but another chance to use my underused 7 string. Had to borrow the 5 string bass only having a 4 string myself.
Quite pleased with how this turned out overall and like my 'Thrown Further' cover is massively elevated by the incredible drumming of Grant Lyde - check out his channel for more drumming masterclasses: youtube.com/@UCYuDnbnn6QHX7jO1ogdbS1w
As per usual don't do the bassist any justice by mostly simply playing just the root notes or copying the guitar rhythm rather than the actual bassline.
Had to punch in for a couple of bits i missed/screwed up as will be evident in the video.
Apart from the fact I hate the sound of my singing voice in general I have this really annoying high resonance on certain high notes which is really off putting and hard to EQ out without pulling down the high frequencies too much and making it sound boxy/dark.
