This video ended up leading to some minor short-lived local celebrity status.
Having had a load of costumes loaned to me by a friend, one of which being a Baywatch outfit, it was inevitable that I was going to do the theme tune.
Lockdown restrictions had just been relaxed so for authenticity I took my long suffering wife to the beach where I dressed up as a budget drag-act version of Pamela Anderson.
Fortunately the tide was out so I was able to move a fair distance from other members of the public and reduce the likelihood of the police being called when they saw what I was up to over fears of my mental health.
When I posted the video to Facebook a fair few people shared it and it caught the attention of a news reporter who got in contact and came and did a piece about my Lockdown activities as a sort of 'fluff' piece for ITV news.
Inexplicably the piece actually made it to air on the ITV news as an end segment and the local newspaper then got in touch to do a follow up article.
Needless to say it did not lead to fame and fortune but it was a bit of fun as these videos were always intended to be!
The conditions for my lockdown videos were:
I only had a limited amount of time to learn (mostly by ear) and record the songs (as I was a key worker) so they were usually recorded in one or two takes so they are certainly not flawless recordings.
I played all the instruments (including programming the drums from scratch).
As the videos started to get more elaborate I could only film them within the confines of my house and garden in keeping with the lockdown rules.
