Removing and cleaning the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor on a 2006 to 2013 Nissan Note E11 with the 1.4 litre petrol engine. If the MAP sensor is causing a check engine light, it may just be clogged up with carbon or oil deposits. Before replacing it with a new sensor, it is worth giving it a thorough cleaning first, to see if it fixes the issue. The sensor should be cleaned with an approved MAP or MAF sensor cleaner. A faulty or dirty MAP sensor could cause one or more of the following symptoms:

Poor fuel economy
Lack of power
High exhaust emissions
Rough idle
Hard starting
Hesitation or stalling
Check engine light, possibly caused by one of the following error codes: P0068, P0069, P0105, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0109, P1106 or P1107
