In this video I’m testing Beta Version 1.2 of the Manual Probe screen on a SYIL X7 with the Syntec 22MA control.
The goal of this screen is to make manual probing easier by giving the operator a guided interface for selecting probing operations and setting the work coordinate system directly from the control.
This early beta version includes functions such as:
Probe selection
Probe bore
Probe boss
Rectangular pocket probing
Setting X1 / X2 and Y1 / Y2
Displaying machine location values
Updating the selected work offset
Setting the WCS after the probing inputs are completed
The video shows the screen in use along with the actual probing process on the machine, including bore probing and setting the work coordinate system.
This is an early development version, so the layout and workflow were still being refined.
