This is a tool-assisted speedrun. Done on Dolphin 5.0 with savestates, slowdown, frame advance, TAS code, TAS Input, and RAM watch (created by Swarejonge).
This was the result of me just dickin around with the DDR glitch at school after I had already TASed the glitch. Pretty cool that you can do it without the respawn, but unfortunately, it probably wont have any practical applications unless the ultra becomes possible with 2 shrooms, and even then its probably a stretch. Ill probably redo the start to make a proper flap at some point, but since this glitch is pretty annoying to TAS, Im not sure when Ill do that. Im almost positive the flap can go below 27 seconds though, so theres that at least.

This clip is the progress I was able to make on the new Maple Treeway Flap before I had started collaborating with Thomas on the TAS.
Everything in the clip from the start to the first landing is present in the final version, and the bounce to the cannon in the actual Flap is based off of the one in this clip, albeit with slight modifications from Thomas that enabled the bike to hit the pole after the cannon. As a result of these modifications, everything after the cannon in this clip went unused in the final version.
Huge thank you to Thomas for helping me work on the full Flap. I really wouldnt have been able to do this without his help.

Looks like Kierio finally got the credit he...didnt want? Idk. Anyway, the sub 20 flap is here! Aside from just using the Spear, Kierio managed to perform the start of the supergrind that allowed us to move through the grass for quite a few frames without losing speed. He also found a Spear friendly first shroomspot, which I added onto using the mini-turbo at the end of the supergrind. The supergrind setup and the layout for the first shroomspot were both his doing, and he also helped me with slowly lowering the time in general, so props to Kierio for that.
This is my first time doing real TASing on Luigi Circuit, and I handled many of the difficult tricks near the end, so hopefully I didnt do too bad with optimizing. As of now, I dont know how much this can be improved by, but Im happy with this result regardless. After comparing the supergrind in this flap to the strat used in the 3lap BKT, it appears that the supergrind used here is slightly faster, though Im not certain whether setting this particular supergrind up is fast enough to use in a 3lap run without losing time. I may test this later, but Im satisfied what we have done for now.

First off, I would like to apologize for my limited content as of recently. In the past 5 days, I have uploaded 5 TASes of the exact same category, with each one obsoleting the next. Luke probably said it best when he said This is why you finish a TAS before you make it public. However, from here on out, Im not uploading anymore MG Flap videos, and I will make the obsoleted times unlisted videos. I will try to keep this from happening in the future. So, with that out of the way...
WHERE THE HELL DID THIS TIME COME FROM?!
After uploading my 30.591, I decided to try to get mushroom abuse on the mushroom at the bridge, and succeeded as you can see in the video. I also managed to improve the shroomles mushroom skip and the cave section as a whole. The combination of all those optimizations brought the time down to this flap. 30.3xx is 100% possible, as its not even a frame away from this run, but I wasnt able to save that time in the cave, and I dont want to redo half the lap again, so this is the lowest time Ill go to.
HUGE shoutout the Swarejonge for explaining some of the things I needed to know for this track, such as the 98 landing, boostless mushroom abuse, and the turn in the cave. I really could not have done this without his help.
