On June 2, 2025, at approximately 3:30 AM, a Sheriff's Deputy responded to a gas station on Lantana Road regarding an ongoing domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised that one of the involved parties was operating a vehicle in an aggressive and reckless manner. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a black vehicle driving recklessly through the plaza, characterized by rapid acceleration and abrupt stops before parking at a pump. The driver exited the vehicle, where a female witness told the officer she was scared the driver was going to injure himself and did not want him driving.
The driver appeared belligerent and defensive when approached, and a records check revealed his license was revoked and he was on active felony probation for previous DUI and resisting charges. As the officer attempted to detain the male for driving on a revoked license, he detected a strong odor of alcohol. The suspect began to physically resist handcuffing by tensing his arms and refusing to comply with commands.
