On March 14, 2025, at roughly 0145 hours, a City of Melbourne Police officer was conducting routine patrols near a Starbucks due to previous complaints of transient activity during overnight hours when the business was closed. Upon entering the parking lot, the officer observed an adult male and a co-defendant seated at a table on the patio. As the officer approached, a syri*** with residue was observed lying on the ground between them, and the co-defendant quickly picked it up in an apparent attempt to conceal it. The co-defendant exhibited signs of recent narcotics use, including slurred speech and swaying. When asked about the syri***, the co-defendant admitted it would test positive for her***. They'll be surprised by what happens next.
