Security camera footage released by police in northern England shows a man's clumsy and repeated attempts to throw a highly illegal package over a tall prison wall. The bizarre CCTV video captures 30-year-old Joshua Smith struggling multiple times before finally managing to launch the parcel over the fence. Unfortunately for Smith, the effort was entirely in vain. Humberside Police report that authorities intercepted the package almost immediately after it landed on the other side. Inside, guards discovered a mobile phone and an estimated $16,000 worth of drugs that never reached their intended destination. Following the failed smuggling attempt, which originally took place in July of last year, Smith pleaded guilty to related charges. This week, a judge sentenced him to more than three years in prison for his actions.
