Man crowned UK's fastest bricklayer after laying 859 bricks - in just one hour

A man from Derby, UK has been crowned the country’s fastest bricklayer after laying an astonishing 859 bricks in just one hour.

Dale Wherton, 35, set a new British and European record to win the Super Trowel 2026 championship in Hertfordshire.

The college tutor, who has spent years training for the competition, will now head to Las Vegas to compete against other world champions in a prestigious international bricklaying contest.
