Todays snapshot is 20w12a for the new nether update - Minecraft 1.16. We are going to look into this snapshot at a few new blocks and new mechanics! Who wants to respawn in THE NETHER!?
We first look at a couple of new blocks. Mojang updated the basalt and now we can polish it by smelting it in a furnace and it is gorgeous! Beautiful pattern and the block can be placed directional.
The snapshot also lets us look at Twisting vines which are a new vine added to the warped forest, and they are climbable!
We have gold nether ore that will drop golden nuggets and you can craft them into gold ingots to trade with the Piglins.
The biggest change in this Minecraft 1.16, snapshot 20w12a is the respawn anchor!! This block allows us to respawn in the nether by feeding glowstone to the block and then resetting our spawn point! WOOHOO!

We get a lot done today! Dark oak island, more bees, mob grinder, grass on its way down below and a sneak peak at the end into our next episode!
As I move ahead more in my skyblock, I need to go beyond just gathering resources. I need to make it to all the other islands, get passive mobs to spawn and get into the nether.
Hopefully we accomplish some of these goals today!
