With the End Times trailer for Total War: Warhammer, I got into the mood for some ratty mischief, painting some more skaven.
I don't see nearly enough of them painted in the grimdark, grungy way, as nasty as I imagine them, so that's why we spread the word and teach the Grimdark Style of painting in our Skaven tutorial courses.
What we teach here is working with enamels and oils over acrylic basecoats, OSL, conversion approaches, and application of real mundane materials, like wires, paper, cloth, and finally, fur!
