hi friends!

i'd been procrastinating on doing a cooking video, but what better time than now when we're all at home. i made a lot of pastries (cookies, cakes, bread) last week, but wanted to focus on chinese recipes for my #cookingwithxan series. i'm hoping it'll force me to make things out of my comfort zone & connect with my culture a little more. :")

i made 3x the servings the original recipe suggested because my parents specifically requested. and since making these, my mom is waiting for my next batch 😩 there are definitely a lot of improvements to be made, but it was a learning process. i also wrote a blog post of things i learned / the whole recipe here: twirlingpages.com/?p=17736
