Our Sunday Service: February 15th
Summary:
Jerusalem…Monday morning…33 AD: “Say what! A religion that gives me eternal life but without my flat feet and male pattern baldness? Cool! Sign me up Bartholomew!”
But now two thousand years have passed, and religions, (all religions) just aren’t selling. The “hook,” that only religion will get you into heaven is now dull and fewer people are biting. About 15,000 Christian churches will close in 2025-2026. But don’t you know; painful endings often disguise new beginnings.
This Sunday we Flint UUs will name a new, improved selling point that is even better than life eternal with the same face, body mass index, and mother-in-law.
Opportunity knocks, but exactly what is our hook that will make religion cool again? Hmmm.
