In this video, I show you the process of making this tool as well as its use.

The wood is local oak, the shaft is 301 Stainless Steel, and the handle is walnut.

I specifically needed a tool that could get into pots to adjust their form after closing in the top when my hand would no longer fit. I find myself using it all the time now. With your hand out of the way, you can more easily see what is happening inside.
