In this series, we recreate recipes from a 16th-century Indian alchemical treatise, the Rasaprakāśasudhākara (The Nectar Mine Light on Mercury). In its eleventh chapter, this text describes the making of alchemical gold and silver, pearls and coral.
Here, we recreate the recipe for making pearls out of fish eyes.
