Making name plates and plaques is easy with the right material.
Gemini Duets is one that I use all the time and it really ups the appear of the awards that I make. There are other brands out there as well but I get mine from jdsindustries.com

This was done on my 100w omtech laser with the following settings

Engraving -
500mm/s 18% power .064 line interval (no air)
Defocus 1mm and up power if needed

Cut-
48mm/s 40% power
