One straightforward approach: combine your mushroom decoction with high-proof alcohol. You’ll need to do a bit of math depending on whether you’re using 95% or 50% alcohol — the higher the proof, the better, since it brings less water into the final mix.
For example, to make 1 liter of finished tincture at 25% alcohol, you’d use about 263 ml of 95% alcohol and roughly 740 ml of your decoction. Mix, seal, and let it sit for at least a week.
It’s simple, effective, and a great entry point — even though it won’t give you the full power of a true high-alcohol extraction.
