In this video we demonstrate how we made a custom soap order for the Deprey Classic Ski Race that takes place annually in Maine. The skiers race through beautiful trails with birches and all manner of trees. We first make the tree embeds and then make a second batch and implement the tree into the landscape. This was a larger batch that made 60 bars so we had to work quickly and forgo some design detail aspects and opt for a generally less detailed landscape. Stamp was made by a friend of mine that owns a 3D printer.
Blue color was achieved with indigo premixed in sunflower oil and color as desired. When gelling the soap, it really helps the blue come through more strongly.
Please follow all safety precautions when making soap! This basic demonstration was geared with the intermediate and beyond soap maker in mind.
