In this video Bunny decides to plant a small primrose and violet path (from home grown plants) instead of sowing grass to reduce maintenance and increase the pulling power for insects and wildlife. She also has defined a bit of woodland edge (she planted the trees around 40 years ago) using some reclaimed metal fencing plus really chunky 200x200mm oak posts. She is in the process of planting this up with an informal looking mix of perennials and biennials such as honesty, Brunnera, alkanet, to increase the diversity of the woodland edge for the insects and the kerb appeal for everyone.
