Hello everyone!

Here is the last video about my little dip into medieval. I had heard about England's Medieval Festival before, and realised this year might be the first one where I'd be around for it. So I decided to make something to wear. At the time I decided to do this, I had a little over a month to draft and make it.

I started by making my medieval chemise. Here is the video for that one: youtube.com/watch?v=5nEihYzCKWo

And then I moved on to the kirtle. I used Morgan Donner's kirtle tutorial to draft my pattern. youtube.com/watch?v=yED06QFK2Q4

I found it super helpful! I made a couple of mock-ups and then went ahead with it. I used about 4-5 meters of red linen for this and entirely handsewed this dress. It was the perfect project as I was going away on holiday and wanted to take some handsewing with me. I went to Alicante and Scotland, of which I filmed a little. Scotland was my absolute favourite.

The day at the fair was probably the hottest day in the southeast UK in ages. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the fair and just wished I'd gone for all weekend rather than just the one day. Maybe next year!
