About a year and a half ago I bought a painting from Jon Peters who is one of my favorite youtube woodworkers. I finally made a frame for it and decided to use a style of frame that Jon uses for some of his work. I followed the steps he showed in a video earlier this year. My versions isn't meant to be a tutorial; if you want more detailed information, check out Jon's channel below.
The frame is made of sapele and finished with amber shellac and a coat of paste wax. I think it's an efficient and simple way to make a frame that lets the artwork stand out. Thanks for watching!
