Historical Belle | Making a Doublet for the Renaissance Fair: Part 2 Sleeves and Skirt @HistoricalBelle | Uploaded December 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
In this video I show how I made a Tudor style doublet for Steven to wear to the Renaissance Fair. A Doublet is a garment worn by men from the 15th to the 17th century. It was a close-fitting, waisted, padded jacket worn over a shirt. In this video I complete the sleeves and skirt portion of the doublet. The black fabric as well as the red and gold trim are from my basement fabric stash. I am using Simplicity Pattern S9095.
