Hi Everyone! In the secon part you can follow how we finish the mould plug, ready to mould. After adding the Easy Composites Pattern coat by spraygun the day before. You need to count for 6 hours before full cure, so we let it cure over night and started sanding it the day after. Starting with a dual orbital sander with a 180 grit sanding paper. The little bit of orange peel was helpfull to sand through the low and high spots till fully flat. The good thing about the pattern coat is that it is very easy to sand, and can quickly sand everything flush! We were lucky not to sand through the pattern coat. We were counting on having to sand it flat, add some bondo or filler when needed and recoat. But we found out that we were able to sand it to a nice finish following grit 400 and 800. Once the flanges were added we were good for the mouldmaking. Make sure to add some release agent to be sure you can remove your mould after you've made the mould ;)
