Keep going. That’s the number one piece of advice that Flor Serna, the founder of Electric Girls, has for aspiring entrepreneurs. Electric Girls is a Louisiana-based nonprofit dedicated to equipping girls with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to pursue careers in STEM fields.

As Serna knows firsthand, young entrepreneurs often face a variety of challenges when they’re starting out: doubt, ridicule, and a tough time generating the necessary resources to make their dream a reality. But Serna calls for persistence. “If it feels like there isn’t space for you at the table, create your own space.”
