Hey there, Tony Dae.

This video goes over a technique that you can use to create your very own fake Arri rec709 lut AND how to create a +1 stop overexposure version of the lut.

I use these luts for reference purposes when shooting braw. The +1 overexposure lut will help normalize the shot in monitor so you can see what you are doing when overexposing by 1 stop. +1 stop overexposure technique is used to get cleaner shadows compared to a "normal" exposure.

I show the basics.

Customize this lut to fit your own personal needs for maximum utility. There is no obligation to use the exact same settings or contrast etc. that I show here. Try playing with tone mapping, colors, saturation, whatever to get the look YOU want and will fit YOUR needs best. Or don't :).
