In the summer of 1970, Bread were on their way to becoming the next big hit group. It all began when they scored a number one hit with "Make It With You." It would turn out to be a heavily covered song. In 1971, the Supremes got their shot at covering the song during the sessions for the unreleased "Promises Kept" album. The results were more than satisfying although it wouldn't be released until 2002 on "The 70's Anthology."
