More lights ≠ brighter image. Perceived brightness comes from contrast. In this short, I show how to make your frame feel brighter by shaping shadows—not flooding with fill.

What I do:
• Add negative fill to deepen the unlit side and restore contrast
• Feather the key to avoid spill and keep skin clean
• Use grids/flags to control bounce and reflections
• Set a key-to-fill ratio (2:1 for natural, 4:1 for punch)
• Use a rim/practical for separation instead of blasting fill

Try this on your next setup and watch the highlights feel brighter without clipping.
