When we bought this vacant 1970s compound in 2025, we knew the house itself had been kept up but the acreage behind it was an entirely different story. For the last 20+ years, the Carolina overgrowth has been running completely wild, swallowing up every unoccupied inch of the 7-acre property. In this episode, Logan and I are finally getting to run some heavy machinery to fight back the dense wall of trees choking out what will become the backyard. Armed with a Kubota BX2370 subcompact tractor and a CAT 277 skid steer, we are destroying everything these machines will run over, hopefully leaving only the massive Oak trees. Huge thanks to Mr Anonymous Tractor Man for letting us borrow this machinery. We can't wait to keep going and transform this area into our dream backyard, even better than it was when it was built in 1975!
