They were a strike on my only port visit to le Lavre a few years ago . No ferries to Le Havre these days , they are only dependent on cruise visits. Greenock Cruise port is owned by Peel Ports , A mega money company that also owns one of the largest dry docks in Europe, that has received 20 millions of UK tax payers money to keep it as a dry dock . An unused dry dock . I think it was a conflict of interest with Camal Laird drydocks on the Mersey . Scottish ferries had to go to the Mersey for repairs . I question tax payers money going to Peel Ports. Inchgreen Drydock needs to be taken out of the hands of Peel Ports end off. Peel ports is an asset stripping company, and money making company. I really feel that they could have made money out of Inchgreen dry dock but they have left it disused over many years. A local company could have maybe taken over the management of the dry dock , but no . Instead 20 millions of pounds of tax payers money doing to a private company with no information going forward.
