This man definitely turns trash to treasure with these up-cycled metal flowers. Artist David Mcauley, from Alberta, Canada, has been making use of up-cycling for the last three years, where he combines his skill and passion to create these magical metallic roses. David said: "Every rose I create begins with a heart that is rolled out of spoons and then each individual petal is hand shaped using similar spoons around until the rose is complete. "The stem is placed on and is made from recycled metal shelving dividers and then shaped curved around the rose to give it the wilted rose look a few decorative handles and petals are added when it’s attached to the base. "The colour finishes are environmentally friendly patina stains that are applied to the rose and base plate and sealed with a clear top coat to protect the finish and add a sheen."
