A photographer has shared a series of fascinating images that demonstrate an ancient yarn dyeing technique in Kashmir, India. Adil Hussain, a photojournalist from Srinagar, India, shared the images as he says he had noticed a decline in the number of dyeing workshops. He added: "Seeing the decline of these dyeing workshops struck my mind, so I decided to find a different angle of the story. "This is how I came to know the German colouring technique was still being used in this workshop. "The fabrics that are dyed using this technique are cotton, wool, silk, fibre, yarns, and other synthetic fabrics. "There are only a few dyeing workshops functional in the valley now as most of the people have switched to other businesses after a deadly conflict broke out in 1989 in the Kashmir region.
