Manuel Conejero Espasa, known as Lolo, is the designer behind Maikarfi, a brand from Villena, Alicante, built around the relationship between the body and experimental textiles. For “Cruz de Mayo,” the designer draws on memories of his hometown and childhood materials, transforming crochet, leather, tracksuit fabrics and textiles made from bicycle inner tubes into a collection that moves between fragility, volume and structure.
The Fall 2026 collection develops across three interconnected lines, progressing from conceptual wool-based pieces to leather, denim and knitwear, before returning to experimental textiles made from bicycle inner tubes. Voluminous silhouettes, sculptural sleeves and collars, historicist references and softer ready-to-wear shapes create a gradual evolution between the collection’s different materials and languages.
