it's been a while!!! good evening!! shadowhunters still hasn't been picked up yet Here we are!!!
I've been itching to make a video about Maia for months now and I had to keep waiting until I had enough solo content and FINALLY. IT'S HERE. This went in directions that I didn't expect and tbh jonestly I wasn't sure I was ever going to make something that could hit as hard as the Malec video. i don't think this did but it definitely tug on a few of my heart strings u kno
she's such a complex character so it was hard to figure out a narrative. But ultimately I started to pick out this theme that I wanted to get across - it's really common for abuse survivors to fear that they themselves could turn into abusers, and there ARE visual/audio parallels here to Jordan. but there's also explicit mention of the ways that Maia is not Jordan, and better than him. but at the end of the day she's stuck with the insecurity he left her with, and that affects her other relationships as well :( eagerly awaiting alpha!maia (FINALLY!!!!!!! IVE WAITED 13 YEARS) in 3b !!
