Among its practitioners, Arshad Khan stands out as a remarkable and skilled musician, contributing to the preservation and evolution of this enchanting instrument. He is the son of Ustad Allauddin Khan, a legendary figure in Indian classical music, and has gained recognition for his exceptional skill and contributions to the world of Indian classical music. His performances often showcase the intricate techniques and emotive qualities of the esraj, captivating audiences around the world.
Khan traced out the earnest personality of Raag Madhuvanti with a short alap followed by a brisk, soulful jod during his performance at the Darbar Festival 2017.
