Hey, it's been a minute. I've been busy with some personal stuff so I haven't been able to record many videos recently but this is a project I finally finished so... here it is!
Citizen Soldier is one of my current favorite bands (you might be able to guess that from all the reactions I've been doing to their music), and one of my favorite songs from their recent album, Scarecrow, is this one! So, I decided to cover it. I'm not really confident that I did the song justice (especially with my mediocre singing ability) but I gave it my best!
This is my first time including footage of me performing a song in a video (as you can tell from the admittedly pretty bad thumbnail... it was the best I could make with my current limitations) so feel free to let me know what you think of that.
In order to make this cover, I learned the guitar parts from this song, and tried my best to recreate the other instruments as well (such as synths, pianos, and drums), with admittedly some slight changes to make them more original.
The rhythm guitars in this cover were all recorded by me using real guitar, however some of the leads and the solo I added at the end were done using a simulated guitar VST instrument. All the guitar parts you see me playing in the video were actually recorded by me for real.
