Here's a complete episode of Made in Chicago (which was a forerunner of what became the nationally-aired SoundStage) as aired over WTTW Channel 11, spotlighting The Greater Chicago Bluegrass Band.

This group, established in 1973, recorded two albums on the Fargo label, released in 1975 and 1980, respectively. Interestingly, the font used on the opening titles and closing credits - Bookman Bold Italic with Swish - matched that for the cover of their 1975 self-titled album. (The band members at the point of this show are mentioned near the end credits as below.)

Show voiceover by Marty Robinson, "The Voice of WTTW."

This was from the original ¾" Umatic master tape in living stereo, and thus no promos or station ID's are part of this representation.

(At this point in time, this program was a half hour, as opposed to the hour length of SoundStage.)

Includes:

Last 3 - 4 seconds of production slate, with ID number W-37470, director and recording date (1-24-77, with the '7's' being upside-down 'L's')

Opening description of coming program, with opening titles

Group starts off with "Hard Hearted," then over the course of the show they perform "Rawhide" (this and other numbers introduced by mandolinist Chuck Kling), "Flood of '72" (an original composition by Richard Hood), "Sing, Sing, Sing" (not the swing-era number performed by the likes of Benny Goodman and Louis Prima, but a gospel tune), "Free Wheeling," "Cry, Cry Darlin' " (sung by Mose Foy), "My Little Girl In Tennessee" (which Chuck introduces as "That Little Girl Of Mine In Tennessee"), followed by Chuck introducing the other band members, and closing with "Y'all Come"
