Maddi Gordon scored the first Top Fuel victory of her career in just her 10th professional start, defeating Antron Brown after surviving a starting-line mechanical scare that nearly ended her day before it began.

The victory also completed the first nitro sweep in Ron Capps Motorsports history after Ron Capps captured Funny Car. Making the moment even bigger, Maddi's father, Doug Gordon, won Top Alcohol Funny Car earlier in the day in the same car Maddi once drove before moving to Top Fuel.
