On June 17, 2020, Dears tuned in to KMRD-LP 96.9 FM, a community-based radio station in Madrid, NM, to listen to a radio show called “Mad Talk” hosted by talk-jockey Gwendolyn Zaxus, aka “SUAP”. There were 6 songs scheduled to be broadcasted during the 2-hour talk show, however, Gwendolyn decided to add a 7th to end the show. Initially she had discovered Dimash through DJ Thrifty, who has been playing Dimash for the past 3 weeks on his radio show at KMRD-LP on Thursday evenings. Although SUAP’s show is primarily a “talk-show” format, she was so impressed with Dimash’s voice and vocal range, that she decided to feature him during her next broadcast.
To begin the show, Gwendolyn said the reason why she wanted to highlight Dimash was not only for his talent, but she was impressed by his humanitarianism which was shared with her by fan club members.

Before re-playing SOS d’un terrien en détresse to finish the show, Gwendolyn thanked Shawn Green (“DJ Thrifty”), of KMRD-LP for introducing her to Dimash as well as the Dimash USA Fan Club founder Alisa Kellogg and fan club member Dana Toburen for the conversations they had with her about the singer. She wanted to highlight Dimash to give listeners an idea of his talent and will be including Dimash’s music in her future shows in the coming weeks.
