M455 155mm Artillery Fired Atomic Projectile (AFAP), with the W48 Mod 1 warhead, filmed at the US national atomic museum at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque NM USA in 2013. Approx. 3000 units were produced and deployed from 1962 until 1992. The yield is thought to be a very low 0.1 kilotonnes. The shell weighs about 55 kg. This shows the M455 artillery shell in the carrying case and girdle.
