(This video also won second place at the Connichi 2023 GMV contest.)
My second GMV based on the game SIGNALIS and musical artist LORN. After Liminal Minds the whole project didnt feel complete to me. I really liked what I edited, but I wanted to tell more themes. Everything would have been too much for one videos so I made another one. Im surprised the level of repeating clips was so low.
This made 1st. place at AniNite AMV Contest 2023 (Pro category and Viewers Choice)
I wanted to show more the mythical sides of the game (lore: The King In Yellow) and portrait more characters. Im really pleased with the outcome and this one made it onto stage at the Connichi 2023 AMV contest.

This is a simpel test of converting still images to very basic 2.5D. 2.5D is a technique to create the illusion of real 3D with the help of 2D layers. It was a common technique for the first ego-shooter games like Doom, Wolfenstein or Duke Nukem 3D.
Its just a test to look whats possible with little effort. I think this is just the start of a set of experiments, because I think about makeing a amv-project which uses this technique.

This is my final project for my After Effects course. I had a lot of fun to create it and I thank Marcus and Stefan for helping me out on the film set for this video. This was shot on a Canon EOS 7D and all the editing and post processing was done in After Effects. Motion Tracking for screen replacement was done in Mocha.
