Luminous Avenger iX | Part 8: Data Center Beta
We got one password but now we got to find the other. This takes us to Data Center Beta.
Compared to Data Center Alpha, Data Center Beta wasn't really much. Though trying to get through is not easy. But the bigger issue is the Falcon at the end, Dystnine. He's an android, a member of the Falcons and is known as the Altair of Vengeance. Since Stella is dead, Dystnine's personality has caused a 180. This has him experiencing negative emotions and wanting vengeance against Copen.
Dystnine's Septima is Vectored Cloth, allowing him to manipluate the vectors in the space around him. This guy is annoying as he always start the fight with Aldebaran Cloth. You dash into him, he counters. He'll transition to one of three different attacks: Grand Piercer, Shroud Spear and Bison Curtain. In Phase 2, he'll use Shineless Coat to go stealth and then unleashes a spread of sword projectiles. His SP skill Total Blackout or Shut The World is nasty. He'll cover the stage with his cloak. There is a way to avoid it but you got to be nimble. If you're not, expect to get seriously whacked and I mean that literally. He has more than one weakness though, Anchor Nexus and Orbital Edge. Use either one to bring the pain.
Taking him down nets you the Shroud Spear EX weapon. With all the Falcons dead, Copen's ready to head in to stop Sumeragi. Unfortunately, he's got bigger problems. Sumeragi has decided to unleash a large scale attack to force them out. And it's being deployed to all areas outside of Sumeragi control. Copen confronts it and it's a giant Lola-like machine. Funny enough, this thing's only attacks are based off the ones we already have. It's weak to Muse's Kiss but once it's health goes one-third, it'll use a darkness-based attack. Take it down and it'll be over. But then it uses Anchor Nexus to snare us. Lola comes in to save him.
Now we know what needs to be done. Part 9 is where we head for the Secret Sumeragi Bunker, Building 13.
