Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals (08/01/2004)
Angry Sinistrals ROM Hack by relnqshd from GameFAQs
==============================
This is an IPS patch for the US version of the "Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals" ROM. It supersedes the Lufia 2 "Doom Zero" patch.
Some history:
In december 2003, I found out that there's an unused, stronger version of Gades in the Lufia 2 ROM (see the readme file of the Lufia 2 "Frue Gades" patch for more details). Although this version (which I call "Shumy-Doomy") is significantly more powerful than the
"regular" version (which I call "Gordy"), Gades is still no match for most Lufia 2 players...
"Hack the game and give him 50,000 more HP, and the Octo-Strike attack, and we'll talk Reli ^_^."
These are the words of Heavyarms525 (Royal God Emperor Of the GameFAQs Lufia 2 Board). To tease him, I decided to grant his "wish": several hours later, the infamous Doom Zero was born! Doom Zero (this
is the cheesiest name I could find! ^_^) is an upgraded Gades.
He's got 60,000 HP, high stats, upgraded versions of Destructo-wave and Devastation, and an Octo-Strike attack. He's very strong, but several Lufians managed to beat him nonetheless. Since some of them wanted
me to upgrade the other Sinistrals too, I decided to make this patch.
Use this patch before going to Doom Island, and you'll fight Doom Zero (instead of Gades) and Neo Chaos (instead of Amon) in the Shrine of Daos. I didn't upgrade Erim and Daos yet.

Renderer: Direct3D11 (Hardware)

D3D Internal resolution Settings: 4x Native Scaling
Hardware Mode Settings: Texture filtering, and Allow 8-bit textures
Edge anti-aliasing (AA1)
Missing one unite attack: Kiss Goodbye using Sialeeds, Jeane, and Nelis.
Video shows 47/48 unite attacks in the game. I dont have a save file with Sialeeds, Jeane, and Nelis together before Sialeeds disappears. This save file from frengkyst had Sialeeds hacked in, but I was unable to get the unite attack to work for some reason. I kept getting a error saying Dont use cp whenever I tried using the unite. Maybe its some anti-piracy prevention?
Music was from the Suikoden V soundtrack composed by Norikazu Miura. Its a really awesome soundtrack!
Tracks:
Intro) Traces of the Sindar Civilization
1.) Battle to Recapture Sol-Falena
2.) Determination ~Tragic Battle~
3.) Pirate Extermination
4.) The Sound of a Flue Echoing on the Battlefield
5.) The Queens Knights
1080p goodness was thanks to PCSX2. Suikoden V - Unite Attack Showcase [1080p]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/imdIE48aB6g/mqdefault.jpg)

![Golden Sun: The Lost Age [0EXP Run] - Boss Battle #3 - Briggs & Crew
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Boss Battle #3
Briggs + Crew
Game Overs: 10+
[0 EXP Run]
The point of this challenge is to beat the game while gaining no EXP. Similar to that of a Low Level challenge, except a Gameshark is used to make all battles result in 0 EXP gains. I dont believe later stages would be too difficult, if I use Isaacs group, but I expect the early stages of the game to be somewhat challenging.
No transferring of previous Golden Sun data, so Isaac and Co. will arrive at their default levels, (which is 28 I believe). Felix, Jenna and Sheeba will stay level 5, while Piers will come in at 18 (I believe).
This is on Hard Mode, so bosses have increased HP and stats.
Save states are not used during the boss fight (if you to take my word anyway).
Strategy?
This battle is annoying. You need to have quite a bit of luck in this battle. I died plenty of times trying to beat Briggs and his mates. My solution was Weasel Claws. Farm them from Momangas outside of Alhafra. Oil Drops also work, but Weasel Claws are more effective.
Felix: Use Iron once to bolster your partys defense. Pound him with Weasel Claws afterwards.
Jenna: Weasel Claws!
Sheeba: More Weasels Claws!
You mainly want Briggs to use Signal Whistle it wastes one of his turns in order to summon another goon. 3 Weasels Claws easily kill a Sea Fighter. You want at least 15 Weasels Claws (5 on each character) before going into the battle. Just hope that Briggs doesnt use Echo Cut, since it can 1HKO Jenna or Sheeba.
I had a bit of trouble taking Briggs down without item farming. Most attempts ended with him using Echo Cut to kill a character. You want to make sure all your characters are alive.
