WE'RE 4 DAYS LATE LOL BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO!!!!!!! (part 2)
our beloved Jo (the ever-talented and lovely @jomodachilife ) had his birthday on December 21!! this year, he was like "please let me be a part of my own MEP" and I was like ok fine. and that's how this MEP was born! the song, we voted on, but the theme was his choice. we still had to surprise him, of course, so that's why we posted Ancient History on the day of his birthday :3 but this was supposed to be the main MEP!
this is a little bit belated and I'm sorry for that ahsdljfs we have been a hot mess this month but I want you to know that we are all SO proud of you, and grateful to you for another year of being our friend :') you mean the entire universe to us -- I can never go a single day without thinking of you and smiling. I hope you had fun participating in this MEP, and I hope you enjoy the full product!!!

cause the light inside my heart will never fade
ive been working on this for a while now. as of today its been six months since hope passed away. i dont really know what to say. the other day rowan told me that hope had left me a note before she died, and it... really stuck with me. so i wrote a response and decided to start work on this vid. i know she technically cant read my reply or watch this, but here goes.

Dear Hope,
First I want to thank you for taking the time to write me a note. Rowan showed it to me today. You were in so much pain that night, and yet you still took the time to console your friends. Thats so thoughtful. Im astonished and touched by your compassion and no one can ever replace how special you are.
Its almost been half a year since you left. I want to say Ive been doing okay. I started my freshman year of college and I think you wouldve been in your senior year of high school. (I wish youd stuck around long enough for us to talk about it, but you decided to leave, and I dont like that but I know I cant undo your decision.) Yeah, Ive been doing okay, but when I think too hard about you I start crying again. I know you wouldnt want that, but I miss you so much.
I felt and still kind of feel ...like I failed you. Like maybe if Id kept in touch, or talked more frequently beforehand, or commented on your vids more, it wouldve made just enough of a difference for you to decide not to fall off the edge. Like maybe if we were better friends, youd have one more person in your support network, and maybe I could have saved you, but I didnt, because I didnt put enough effort into being your friend. Thats whats been on my mind since I got news of your passing.

Knowing I brought you joy? Knowing you had fond memories of me? My stupid rarepairs and crackships and glorified-powerpoint-slideshow videos made you smile? Its the highest honor I could ever possibly have. Im so glad our friendship wasnt meaningless to you. Im glad I impacted you enough to bring you a little bit of happiness. You were in so much pain. Id have done anything to ease that pain a little bit. I guess I did.
I still wish Id done better. If Id known I SHOULD have known I wouldve stayed up all night trying to talk you out of it. But I wasnt a good enough friend and thatll always be a huge regret of mine. That said… at least I did *something* to make you happy.
Your final wishes for me were to keep being myself and to keep shipping your amazing crackships and rarepairs okay? So Ill honor that. I always found happiness in my weird niche ships, but now Ill do it with purpose, because you asked me to. I really hope I continue to make you happy in the future, cause I know even if you cant literally watch me, you can feel my emotions and my prayers for you.

So, Sonic Adventure 2 has always, ALWAYS been my favorite video game. For the first time in a long, long while, I got to edit with this spectacular game and Ive just fallen in love all over again. I literally grew up playing SA2B and the Knuckles/Rouge and Sonic/Amy pairings bring back SO MANY MEMORIES. Oh lord I wanna cry.
Sonic is such a fundamental part of me. That sounds stupid as heck but it is.
