This amateur short film was created by the Edmonton Cine Club in 1949. It features two oil drilling companies competing for the same oil lease, with one driller courting the land owner's granddaughter and the other drillers resorting to sabotage and violence to try to win the day.

Note: the film reel was spliced out of order at some point and is shown here in that order. The beginning of the story actually appears at the end of the reel.
