LPG tanker that paid record $5.3M to transit Panama Canal awaits entry

The LPG tanker G. Spirit waits to enter the Panama Canal after South Korean company SK Gas paid a record $5.3 million for priority passage ahead of El Nino-related restrictions which will see crossings limited. Panama has declared an emergency over El Nino, which has caused dwindling water levels in the canal due to a severe drought across Central America.
