Legacy of Kain Blood Omen 2 takes place between the events of Blood Omen 1 and Soul Reaver 1. Kain leads a vampire army against the Sarafan and is defeated in battle. After waking 200 years later in a weakened state, he sets off on a quest for revenge in an unfamiliar Nosgoth where the Sarafan rule with an iron fist and few vampires survive.
