This could just be my favorite photography backpack I have ever owned. I needed to upgrade my Lowepro slingshot 202 aw as I have outgrown it. So I decided the Lowepro protactic 450 aw would be a great fit for me. With a tactical look to it, a very comfortable shoulder strap and ventilated back with hip support it should be easy to get all the weight off my back and onto my hips. To gain access to the main compartment you have to remove the backpack and open it up. It's a nice feature for keeping everything secure. If you wanted to access items fast you can get at them from the left and right sides as well as the top. The molly webbing is a nice feature to add custom components to your bag like tripods. If I am putting all my gear in this bag and going for a hike it's nice to know my gear will be safe with the included rain cover that is tucked away under the bottom of the backpack. It's easy to build a collection of expensive photography gear over the years. Lowepro has been there protecting my gear through those years. I don't beat on or abuse my bags or gear. I have never had a problem or even a thought that my Lowepro bags would not be able to protect them. I look forward to the many years of use I will be able to get out of this bag. My thick 15" laptop does fit into the bag.
