Makes me wonder whether the suspension of the whole light box might have contributed in an invisible way as a massive counter-swing mass, even though it was far too heave to show any noticeable swing.
This could have been simply the way it was constructed, because I have also witnessed spoons swinging back and forth on a table for minutes.
