The Drama Triangle is a communication framework we covered in Month 2 of the Midwifery Wisdom Fellowship — and it's one of those things that once you see it, you can't unsee it.
There are three archetypes: villain or judge, victim or innocent, hero or rescuer. And they don't just show up in how we talk to each other — they show up in how we talk to ourselves.
Sometimes you can cycle through all three in the same breath.
Level one is being unconscious to it. Level two is noticing it and level three is where it gets interesting: finding the center and not switching roles anymore.
Embodying what we call the love warrior — not rescuing anyone, not judging, not collapsing. Just present. Fighting for what's right without needing to fight at all.
This is part of one conversation from six months of the kind of education that doesn't show up in a midwifery curriculum. The Midwifery Wisdom Fellowship is a 6-month programme for current students and recent graduates, built around monthly teaching sessions with Augustine Colebrook and Christie Davis, private coaching in nervous system regulation and business development, and a cohort community of midwives doing this work together. It's the foundation we wished we'd had at the start of our careers.
Cohort 2 begins September 1.
